Milky Chance is returning to Toronto on March 18th. Tickets are not available for purchase yet but are going on sale tomorrow! I am super excited to see them for the third time! They always out on such a great show.
They have recently released a couple of songs from their new record, just to give us a little taste as to what they have in store for us. I can't stop listening to them! They are so catchy and have such a great beat, every time I listen to them I find myself dancing on the subway. Take a listen to their new song "Cocoon" here, and "Doing Good" here.
Sam Roberts Band is having a FREE show at the Tiny Record Shop on Saturday! The show is from 5-6:30pm but get there early, I have a feeling there will be a lot of people interested in going and the space is super small. For more information, check out their Facebook event by clicking here.
They're putting on this show in celebration of Sam Roberts new album, TerraForm. This is my favourite song of their new album called "Tourist Trap", you can listen to it here.
The Fast Romantics are putting on a little listening party for the release of their new album. They are playing on December 3rd at the Drake Underground. You can purchase your ticket here.
I had a sneak preview of The Fast Romantics new album when I saw them play at the Horseshoe Tavern this year and at NXNE. I really enjoyed their new songs and can't wait to hear their new record in full. Take a listen to their new song "Animal", taken off their new album being released soon! Take a listen here.
Wild Nothing is playing at The Great Hall on November 11th, 2016. You can purchase the tickets here.
I had the chance to see this band during Canadian Music Week this year as they were touring around for their new album Life of Pause. I wasn't a huge fan of their new record until I saw them live. I grew an appreciation for it and even downloaded a couple of their songs. Here is Wild Nothing playing live on KEXP, take a listen here.
The Elwins are back! They're playing at Adelaide Hall on November 11th! Tickets are only $10 and you can purchase them here.
The Elwins just started touring with Tokyo Police Club and Born Ruffians but they are unfortunately not coming to Toronto. I'm so jealous of the west coast and the amazing show they will get to go see. I would have done anything to see these three bands play together since they are three of my favourite bands, I guess I will just have to go see them all at separate shows. I already bought my Tokyo Police Club ticket for their December show and I will be buying my Elwins tickets soon!
Sam Cash and the Romantic Dogs is playing at the Horseshoe Tavern this Friday, September 9th.
Sam Cash is a super cool band from Toronto! I had the chance to see them during Canadian Music Week this year and I'm really glad I went to go see them! My favourite song by the is called "Fall Together", you can listen to it here.
If you haven't made any other plans this Friday, you should totally go check them out.
Tom Odell is coming to the Mod Club on October 11th!
Tom is an English singer songwriter. He released his first EP in 2012 which included his hit single "Another Love". You can listen to it here. His debut studio album was released back in 2013 and his second album, called Wrong Crowd, was released June 10th of this year. My favourite song off his new album is called "Wrong Crowd" and you can listen to it here!
I already have my tickets thanks to Indie88! I hope to see you all there!
Two Door Cinema Club is coming to the Sound Academy on November 26th!
The Irish indie rock band is coming to Toronto and I'm super excited to see them. The trio will be releasing their third studio album in October. They have already revealed a couple of song off their new album called GAMESHOW. Here is one of the songs called "Bad Decisions", listen to it here. My all time favourite song of Two Door Cinema Club is called "Sun" and you can listen to it here!
The Paper Kites are playing at The Opera House on November 26th!
The Australian indie rock band formed back in 2010 and released their second studio album back in August 2015. When I first heard this band, they had a calm, majestic folk feeling to their music but they have really changed their sound for their new album Twelvefour. Their sophomore album has a slow indie rock feel to it, and I am really happy about the change! Although I love indie folk, I think the changed really worked in their favour. They can definitely pull off both genres of music very well!
Compare the difference with these two songs, "Bloom", which is from their first album and "Electric Indigo", from their second album. Click on the title of the song to listen and let me know what you think!
